Over the past few years the pressure on resources has been constantly growing. Rising energy prices and climate change have created a need for the chemicals sector to find innovative solutions in order to reduce overall energy and resources consumption.

As a major chemical company, INEOS is always looking for new ways of improving process efficiency in order to keep our business one step ahead. The EPOS project is proving a great opportunity for INEOS to optimise our resource and energy management even further. By using ground-breaking tools that present new opportunities for reusing resources or creating economies of scale, EPOS allows us to find synergies across process sectors and open gates to cross-sectorial symbiosis. EPOS pushes us to think out of the box and challenge our site performance through regional clustering.

By participating in the EPOS project, INEOS is creating added value in process efficiency. Due to the variety of companies and sectors in EPOS, INEOS also benefits from cross-fertilisation of learnings and expertise across the partnership. We look forward to share our experience as we believe it's an asset for the chemicals sector and for the European process industry as a whole.
