Pathway to Global Policy, Industry and Societal Impact on Resource Efficiency and Sustainability - 27 June 2017
White Rose Brussels is organizing a high-level event "Pathway to Global Policy, Industry and Societal Impact on Resource Efficiency and Sustainability" jointly hosted with the Advanced Resource Efficiency Centre (AREC), University of Shieffeld, on 27 June 2017.
This event hosted by John Procter, MEP for Yorkshire and Humber, European Conservatives and Reformists Group, aims to showcase the research excellence and impact performed by AREC towards achieving environmental sustainability, resource production and consumption efficiency.
The round table discussion will be held in the European Parliament and will be followed by a drinks reception at 17:30. Prof Lenny Koh (AREC) will be taking part in the panel discussion with Prof Panos Ketikidis (University of Sheffield, Greece), Jay Sterling Gregg (European Energy Research Alliance), Maria Rincón Liévana (DG Environment, European Commission); and Philippe Micheaux Naudet from ACR+ (Association of Cities and Regions for Sustainable Resource Management).
During the event, participants will get the chance to become aware of the Supply Chain Environmental Analysis Tool - Intelligence (SCEnATi) - a tool used by leading organisations to map their supply chain and identify improvement opportunities in terms of economic, environmental and social factors.
