PPP Infodays – SPIRE Brokerage session - Project ideas presentations now available!
The SPIRE PPP was featured at the Horizon 2020 Information Days on Public-Private Partnerships in Brussels on 21 October.
Clara de la Torre, DG Research and Innovation, chaired the plenary session dedicated to the four research public-private partnerships launched in the framework of Horizon 2020 -Sustainable Process Industry, Green Vehicles, Factories of the Future and Energy-efficient Buildings.
SPIRE is the most recent of the PPPs family, having been officially launched in December 2013. Lionel Platteuw, EUnited and SPIRE Vice-President, presented its main features and objectives.
The SPIRE PPP brings together the potential of 8 sectors of the process industry (cement, ceramics, chemicals, engineering, minerals, non-ferrous metals, steel and water) with the objective of boosting the European economy and contributing to a new European Industrial Renaissance through resource and energy efficiency innovations in these essential industrial sectors and along their value chains.
SPIRE session and brokerage
A specific session dedicated to the SPIRE PPP took place during the afternoon of 21 October, followed by a brokerage and networking event during which different stakeholders had the opportunity to present their project ideas for the 2015 SPIRE calls and meet potential partners.
