Who is doing R&D to drive growth and jobs?
The Transform RTD sector final conference 'Who is doing R&D to drive growth and jobs? Looking for structural changes in Europe will held on 29 November 2013 in Brussels.
The conference marks the closing of a three year study commissioned by the European Commission DG RTD, which investigated the effects of private R&D investment on the structure of 25 industrial sectors, in view of competitiveness, growth and job creation.
The study (carried out by Intrasoft International, TNO, Joanneum Research, Tecnalia and RAND Europe) characterised the sectors (quantitative and qualitative), performed a cross sectoral analysis, developed methods for creating meta sectors (or clusters), a network analysis and looked into the structural change patterns, drivers and related policy implications. The purpose of the conference is to present the main results of the study and to discuss the policy recommendations. The draft final report will be made available to the participants to the conference prior to the 29th.
The organisers are pleased to have attracted top level speakers to provide the context, the theoretical background and demonstrate structural change with several cases.
